An agent reported being contacted by a couple of ladies, saying they are mother/daughter, staying at a motel in Churchland. Their story is that they recently returned to the area, and have received a settlement from an accident, but they cannot access the money for 7 days. In the meantime, they have run out of money for food, and they are about to be thrown out of the motel. They ask the agent to pay for a night or two of the motel, and for cash for food. Later, the agent saw on social media that another fellow real estate agent has had the exact same encounter with the 2 ladies. Apparently, they are contacting agents from a local real estate magazine. Please, remember to always do your due diligence on new, unknown clients - be careful meeting them alone, and verify their information.
