REIN.com App FAQ's

REIN has partnered with Homespotter to develop our NEW! REIN.com app. Below, you will find answers to some frequently asked questions. Please refer to this document when agents inquire about our new app.

Q: Is the REIN.com app available for both Apple and Android devices?

A: Yes! The REIN.com app will be available for free in the Apple App Store, as well as the Google Play store.

Q: How often is property info updated in the app? What data powers this mobile app, and why should contacts download our app versus a national brand name alternatives to find accurate information?

A: In general, listings are updated every 15 minutes or so in the app and come directly from our REIN MLS data feed. The data that powers our app is one of its best features.

While home buyers may be familiar with national home search apps, many times the data found in those apps come from syndicated data from ListHub partner websites (and not from a direct feed from the MLS), which is restricted by broker and/or corporate preferences.

Using  the REIN MLS  branded app ensures that everyone in our market  can search with confidence knowing that they’re seeing all of the listings available in the area.

Q: Why did REIN decide to offer an app?

A: Our goal with REIN.com is to increase leads and lead generation opportunities for our members. The REIN.com app is an extension of the REIN.com experience. Now, consumers will have the power of REIN.com on their mobile devices, with the ability to see real-time listings on-the-go. Additionally, the majority of our consumers visit REIN.com from a mobile device.

Q: How can users of our app share the app with others? And when using the 'invite to app' button on the app, is there a way they can change the default message?

A: In the app menu, there is a button that reads “Invite to App.” This will allow users who have downloaded our mobile app to share the app with others who they may be searching with or with others who they might want to refer the app to. Currently, there is no way to save a default message on your device only, which is why the language in the default message is a bit generic. However, you can customize this each time.

Q: Will the lead generation numbers from the app be added on the Broker Reports?

A: No. REIN.com and the REIN.com app are hosted on different platforms. We will provide reporting for each application separately.

Q: What is the difference between New and Recently Added?

A: New is anything listed within the last seven days. You don’t need a filter to see the Recently Added will show properties listed in the last 24 hours.

Q: What is the relationship between REIN.com and the mobile app. Are they connected?

A: REIN.com and the REIN.com app are not connected. REIN uses two separate platforms for these two products.

Q: How many years of sold data does the REIN.com app display?

A: One year. While we can see three years of data on REIN.com, the REIN.com app displays one-year of sold data.

Q: As an agent, will I receive leads from the REIN.com app?

A: Yes! Every listing inside the app has an agent attached to it behind the scenes. Although we will not list the agent’s name and contact information in the app, we’ll route any Request for More Information or for a showing on any listing in the REIN mobile app to the primary agent listed on that particular listing.

Q: How do I upload my photo so it will show up for users of the mobile app?

A: Agents can easily upload their photos via Matrix, which will allow them to show up for users of the REIN.com mobile app. A video tutorial can be found here

Q: Do I need to download the app in order to receive leads?

A: No. Agents do not need to download or use the new REIN.com mobile app in order to get leads from the app. Lead emails will be sent to the primary agent directly and come from no-reply@homespotter.com

Agents will receive two types of leads:
